Nicki Minaj certainly cannot help herself, when it comes to getting attention, so the bold pop star was a natural fit at the face of Roberto Cavalli’s newest ad campaign. The wild Cavalli print is perfect for Nicki’ infamous curves, can you imagine being a wind machine on that set. Cavalli shares on why her choose her revealing that “she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong counter-trend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves.”
Madonna is back at Versace for the fourth time in their fashion courtship. Giving us that high fashion, editorial broken down pose, she makes a strong case for herself and the brand.
Over at Givenchy it is back to the basics with Julia Roberts in a simple yet striking black and white shot. Her stern look is serious & slightly meloncholy. “I decided to make her more intellectual, more serious, more pure. And it is really no surprise to see Kim & Kanye for Balmain. Both lovers of the brand, it appears that their work is now benefiting baby North with creative director Olivier Rousteing gifting their daughter, North, three custom Balmain jackets. You can tell they really felt at home at the shoot, judging by Kayne’s eternal pissed off look & Kim’s signature blank star. “Kim and Kanye are style icons and friends,” Rousteing says. “It is an honor to have them in this Balmain campaign. Together, they represent love, beauty and diversity. They are the new modernity.”
Naomi Campbell is working over time showing up in Spring Summer Campaigns at both Burberry & Agent Provocateur. Of course she is actually the only real model on the list, but her celebrity status brings that special something to a campaign that only Naomi can deliver on.
